Tennis Glove
Baseball is a wonderful game that has hardly changed over the years. However, over the years, baseball equipment has improved tremendously. It is very important that you know about the new developments so you can these to your advantage. However, before you use any of these, ensure that you are aware of the baseball instruction that is associated with that particular equipment.
The best example of the evolution of the protective baseball gear is that used for the catcher. In the early days of the game, he was supposed to be ready to get hurt; it was part of the game. Gradually, the protective gear for the face mask, mouth guard, chest protector, gloves and the shin guard has improved for the safety of the player. He still gets hurt, but he manages it much better today.
The mouth guard was engineered to protect the teeth better, and it is used as protection in the event the face mask protection is compromised. The face mask was a hit right since 1876 when it was first introduced. It gave superb protection and was very comfortable to use. Both the spectators and the players were happy with it right from day 1.
Now all the protection gear was received so well as the face mask. When the first catcher wore for the first time thick padded shin guards, he was almost booed off the field. The spectators jeered at his lack of courage and taunted his manliness. Fortunately, good sense prevailed and the shin plates became standard equipment in the day to come. All baseball players owe a big 'thank you' to that first catcher who absorbed all the negative emotions from the crowd.
Did you know that the chest guard was designed by a woman? She was the wife of a leading baseball catcher and she did not want him to get hurt during the game. His name was Charles Benett and the team he was playing for was the Detroit Tigers.
Another priceless innovation was the baseball gloves and the catching mitt. It was first seen in 1877 and it caught the market like wildfire. Besides he baseball catchers, the fielders also loved it and in no time this was an all rounder market hit.
The baseball glove of today has much less padding and the design is specifically engineered to improve catching ability. The improvement done so far ensures that once the ball is in hand, it seldom drops. This improved features is owed to the superior design which ensures that even a fast spinning ball that rotates at 1800 RPM can be tames by this glove. The engineering of the ball is such that the glove can stop in its tracks even the fastest spinning ball without hurting the catcher in the least.
Every day there are improvements added and every day there are more to add to the existing baseball gear and instructions. Each one of these improvements or changes contributes to the magnetic charm and popularity of this wonderful game.

Okay my 4 year old is going to play t-ball this season. My question is, what kind of glove.mitt will he need?
Also what kind of shoes are best? The people he is playing for says that regular tennis shoes will be ok, but I was wondering if cleats would be better.
I am not expecting him to be some great player. I am just looking for an outlet for his never ending energy. I know that t- ball isn't baseball, but it is what most kids start at to get to baseball.
Go to WalMart and get him a small beginners glove that is 10" or less. Let him try them on and whichever one he doesn't want to take off immediately is the one he will wear and use. It does not have to be expensive and WalMart carries some pretty good gloves. Tennis shoes should be fine and he does not need cleats although sometimes the cleats are cheaper. Make sure they are not slick on the bottom and have some kind of grip features like little knobs or points. If he stays on his tail all the time he may not stay interested in baseball. Good Luck and have fun! My son started at 4 and at 17 is looking at some pretty good scholarships.

Gloves tennis?
Is it acceptable to use gloves in the tournament tennis matches or is there a rule against it?
Yes, but not go there. As the saying goes.
